29 institutions in 12 countries are working in the European project Radiant. All have the goal of better exploiting the potential of underutilised and genetically diverse crops. The project also supports the EU strategies for sustainable food chains and aims to promote synergies between agricultural production. A workshop on the Radiant project will be held in Quakenbrück on 30 and 31 March. The organiser is the German Institute of Food Technologies e.V. (DIL). Experts will present the current state of the art and trends in the technological processing of underutilised crops. At the same time, the meeting will offer the opportunity to get in touch with a number of stakeholders within the radiant topic complex. There will be an opportunity to learn about examples of success stories from the alternative protein value chain and to participate in a visit to the “Protein Technology Centre of the Future”. There will also be time to engage with a wide range of research and innovation activities related to selected crops. There is more information here:
