We research for the protection of the environment, conserve resources and find solutions for practice

The Institute for Food and Environmental Research e.V. has permanent staff who combine the expertise of food technologists, chemists and food chemists, biologists, microbiologists and biochemists and have many years of experience in biotechnology, food and environmental research. Additional staff will be engaged on a project-by-project basis.

The non-profit association claims to contribute to marketable problem solutions with its research, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises. The aim is to stabilise and strengthen the innovative and competitive power of the small and medium-sized food industry.

The association has access to modern laboratories and pilot plants. High-performance test facilities are available for technological application research or are used by cooperation partners.
