The aim of this meeting, which takes place in a different city each time, is to gain an overview of the current status of how renewable raw materials and biorefineries can be utilised.<\/p>\n<p>The RRB Conference, which was held in Turku in 2025, also impressed with high-calibre presentations and innovative research approaches.<\/p>\n<p>A highlight was the invited talk by Prof. Dr. Daniel Pleissner, who presented the results of the <strong>Climaqua<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Cipromed<\/strong>\u00a0research projects. In his lecture, Prof. Pleissner demonstrated how by-products from the aquaculture sector can be efficiently used for the cultivation of the microalga\u00a0<em><strong>Galdieria sulphuraria<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>By utilizing these by-products, not only is waste reduced, but a significant contribution to resource efficiency is achieved.
