But later, the modern farmer relied more on pesticides to rid the field of shepherd&#8217;s purse and chickweed. In organic farming, on the other hand, harrows have always been the tried and tested tool. However, as more and more sprays are no longer approved for conventional farming, and many people want to work more organically anyway, this sector must also turn more to mechanical techniques again. In order to provide information on this old topic, which is new to some farmers, Landwirtschaft im Dialog is organising the second Hoeing and Harrowing Day.
