In principle, optimal feed intake, stable animal welfare and consistent animal health are crucial for sustainable and profitable animal husbandry. The development of feed supplements that can address these problems is an obvious choice.<\/p>\n<p>The EcoFutter project aims to address sustainability and animal health in livestock farming. In this project, the ILU aims to develop feed supplements based on algal biomass to reduce methane emissions, increase feed intake and improve the health of ruminants.<\/p>\n<p>Partners in this project are the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mlua.de\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Milchwirtschaftlichen Lehr- und Untersuchungsanstalt Oranienburg e.V.
