{"id":1236,"date":"2021-06-22T17:51:34","date_gmt":"2021-06-22T15:51:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/relaunch.ilu-ev.de\/?post_type=avada_portfolio&#038;p=1236"},"modified":"2021-07-27T22:45:13","modified_gmt":"2021-07-27T20:45:13","slug":"massaria","status":"publish","type":"avada_portfolio","link":"https:\/\/www.ilu-ev.de\/en\/portfolio-items\/massaria\/","title":{"rendered":"PilzPack"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In agriculture, forestry, gardening and landscaping, enormous amounts of fibrous materials such as wood, straw, green cuttings and sheep&#8217;s wool are produced, which are often only utilised for energy. This project investigates the holistic material recovery of organic residues from landscape management and agricultural activities for the production of mycelium-based packaging material using the fungi: Trametes versicolor and Ganoderma lucidum. The mycelial growth of both fungi and the production of packaging material are investigated on the basis of different residues, such as sheep wool, grass and tree cuttings, using blanks. Special attention is paid to the degree of colonisation, mycelial growth rate and mycelial density in order to achieve &#8220;sticking&#8221; of individual residual materials. The mycelium-based blanks will then be pressed into packaging material and their handling properties evaluated.
