As part of the MERGE project, German and Polish partners want to jointly tackle the challenge of sustainable waste recycling in the industry. The project aims to develop innovative solutions to utilize residual materials efficiently and thereby reduce environmental impacts.
\nThe project aims to promote the transfer of knowledge and technology and thus strengthen the innovative power and competitiveness of the region. This is to be achieved through the organization of hackathons, ideas competitions and workshops as well as the establishment of multilateral contact points. A central element of the project is the promotion of the circular economy through the conversion of residual materials into valuable raw materials. Both local companies and research institutions as well as the entire region will benefit from these measures.
\nThe project’s innovative approach includes the targeted promotion of idea generation and dissemination through participatory formats such as hackathons. This enables broad participation and contributes to the development of sustainable business models. Cross-border cooperation between Germany and Poland is crucial to the success of the project. It
\nenables the exchange of experience and expertise, creates synergies and promotes the development of joint solutions for the bioeconomy. By implementing these measures, the MERGE project will help to strengthen regional research capacity, make better use of innovation potential and promote sustainable economic development in the border region.<\/p>\n
